1. where and when is this event located?
The next event in 2026 is located in shelburne, ON, inside the “centre dufferin recreation complex”. It will be taking place Saturday and sunday, june 27th and 28th, at the centre dufferin recreation complex in Shelburne, ontario, from as early as 9 AM (for V.I.P. Individuals) to 6 PM daily.
2. Is there an entry fee or ticket cost?
Public entry is $5.00 at the door per day, and tickets are purchasable online through our store section now. Early bird entry is $10.00 per day and allows you exclusive entry to our facility an hour before general public admission guests!
3. Are children allowed?
Yes, children are allowed into our facility. We RECOMMEND bringing protective earwear for babies and newborns since there will be music playing. We also offer free admission for children 12 and under with parental/guardian supervision!
4. Do kids need to purchase tickets?
Children 12 and under, under direct supervision by a parent or Guardian, will be allowed to enter the event days FREE OF CHARGE! we do encourage families to bring donations and NON-PERISHABLE Food goods for our event partners, simply to benefit the community!
5. is the event family-friendly?
yes! We hope that there will be something special to find within our event, regardless of your age too!
However: While we strive to have a FAMILY-FRIENDLY environment, we cannot monitor or control people’s freedom of speech, but strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for both vendors/exhibitors and guests alike by removing outwardly violent, aggressive, or BELIGERENT individuals. if you see something strange or concerning, please let our associate/staff or vendors know, and it will be ADDRESSED APPROPRIATELY.
6. Is re-entry allowed with my ticket?
Each day will have a particular colored wristband or stamp for attendees. we RECOMMEND that the public keep a copy of their digital ticket purchases or a printout of THEir ticket(s) on their person. in the event of damaged or missing wristbands, we will do our best to make sure to get you back inside, but without proof of purchase, it can be difficult to determine who is allowed in each facility per day. without a ticket or proof of purchase, we ask that those seeking to re-enter repurchase a ticket at the door. online ticket purchases will not be available the day of the event.
7. Is the event indoors or outdoors? Will the event happen rain or shine?
The event is located inside a building, within a FULL-SIZED ice hockey arena, with heating AND air conditioning depending on the time of year, so the show will go on regardless of weather!
8. Do you accept cash, debit, or credit at the door?
yes! cash, credit and debit will be available at the door for ticket/vip package/early bird packages. vendors will accept funds according to their RESPECTIVE accepted methods of payment. no crypto payments are available as an acceptable entry fee for this event.
9. Are tickets/vendor or exhibitor spaces refundable or transferable?
tickets for the general public and early bird attendees are not refundable.
guest experience tickets with a celebrity or special guest meet and greets that have altered or modified timings may be elligible if the guest cancels their appearance or has to leave early. we will try our best to ACCOMMODATE and refund guests after the event is completed. staff cannot ISSUE refunds the day of the event due to being preoccupied WITH maintaining the event.
10. Do vendors/exhibitors require a separate ticket?
vendors and exhibitors have the FREEDOM to enter and exit the event hall as NECESSARY. each table/booth rental comes with a fixed number of badges/wristbands; HOWEVER, additional badges are available at an additional cost. please note how many badges come with each vendor/exhibitor package, and plan accordingly. additional badges/wristbands for vendors are available the day of the event from staff.
11. Do VIP or early access tickets exist?
yes! VIP packages will be added this year, and include some amazing gifts from our brand and BUSINESS partners! early bird entry packages will be available as well, but are SEPARATE from vip packages. early bird packages allow you just entry into the event 1 hour early, but vip packages allow you to bump to the front of the line and enter the event early with a “swag-bag” in-hand.
12. What does a VIP package include?
VIP packages change as our brand partners and event supporters change from location to location. They generally include one of our summer collector convention T-shirts, themed “special vip badge”, discounts with select vendors and businesses inside the hall and within the region the event is held in, as well as some free goodies. each vendor table has the opportunity to provide their own bonus “freebies” for vip packages, so the loot pool is always changing! discounts to future events, partner information and marketing materials are also distributed within each vip package. vip badges include free parking when possible, if an event has paid parking as well.
13. is parking available at the site location?
yes. parking is generally free, but some locations have paid parking ON-SITE/off-site. we will do our best to inform the public if and when an occasion should arise that there is paid parking. at our flagship event location in shelburne (cdrc), parking is free to the public for the duration of the event! 😉
other important information:
1. Is the Facility Disability Accessible/Friendly?Yes! Each facility we hold our events within is chosen explicitly for the purpose of providing an accessible space.
We understand the complexities and challenges of navigating an event space without these amenities. Our partners have worked together with us to ensure each space is accessible. Accessible parking is also available at each location.
Our staff is capable of assisting when asked, so don’t be afraid to ask! If you purchase a ticket and need any particular amenities, we request that you email us directly, and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
2. How do I Volunteer/Help out? Does The Summer Collector Convention sign for Volunteer hours?We are holding a series of pop-up job fairs and select volunteer opportunities in the near future in and around the Dufferin Region.
We DO sign for Volunteer Hours, and have programs for Youth over the age of 16, and Adults interested in growing with us long-term.

3. Is Cosplay Allowed?We do have Cosplay and Props checks at the door.
No projectiles, real weaponry, or solid metal props.
No nudity is allowed at our venue since it is an all-ages event, but Cosplayers are allowed the freedom to come into the event space with our full. Skin exposure is NOT nudity, and we are aware of characters and outfits.
As long as it’s appropriate at most other major events, we’re more than likely to allow/accommodate outfits.
Changerooms are not available to anyone other than performers and Cosplay entrants for our Contests and Competitions.
4. Can we Trade/Sell to Vendors?YES! And we actually encourage our attendees to bring their collectibles, toys, trading cards, comics, Funkos, etc., whatever they may be, vendors often are willing to trade or entertain purchasing product from Attendees on the Convention Floor!
5. Is Alcohol/Cannabis allowed?We are not licensed for Alcohol for the Shelburne CDRC event in 2026. Alcohol is explicitly banned from the site location as requested by the CDRC. Any guests and vendors/exhibitors found to be breaking this rule will be removed from the premises.
In Shelburne, Ontario, presently, public consumption of Cannabis is prohibited, even with a special event license, so cannabis consumption and sale are prohibited at this event.
We work in accordance with all law enforcement, laws and bylaws within Shelburne and respective site/event locations. If removed, no refunds will be provided to the removed parties.
6. Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Policy:WE DO NOT support or condone the sale of any A.I. products at any of our convention sites. All materials, images, merchandise, and signage were made in-house or were commissioned by 3rd Party Artists and Designers with a passion for selling artwork and merchandise made by real Artists.
Any vendor or individual looking to sell or pass off an item for sale or trade to a vendor will be removed from the convention hall with no opportunity to refund their entry or vendor/exhibitor booths.
Rentals will not be refunded, and those parties will not be allowed to return
